Hot Weather = Higher Water Use β€” Plan Ahead and Save!

As temperatures rise, so does water use β€” especially outdoors! 🌿

Many customers double their water use in the summer compared to winter, mostly due to lawn and landscape watering. It makes sense: when it’s raining, most people don’t run their sprinklers. But as sunny days return, so does the outdoor watering β€” and with it, higher water bills.

Even though this seasonal spike happens every year, it’s easy to forget. So here’s your friendly reminder from Beaumont-Cherry Valley Water District:

βœ… Check your irrigation system for leaks or overwatering
βœ… Adjust watering times to early morning or evening
βœ… Consider cutting back β€” your landscape may not need as much as you think!

Conserving water in the warmer months helps protect our resources and keeps your bill manageable. Let’s work together to make every drop count this season! πŸ’™
