BCVWD Enacts Water Use Restrictions

The State of California has declared a state of emergency due to prolonged drought conditions. Accordingly, the California Department of Water Resources has adopted emergency regulations restricting water use statewide. 

Failure to comply with the water use restrictions may result in penalties in accordance with Part 15 of the District’s Regulations Governing Water Service which includes increased water charges and termination of water service.

2015 Notice of Intent to Amend the Conflict of Interest Code

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Beaumont-Cherry Valley Water District intends to adopt or amend a conflict-of-interest code pursuant to Government Code Section 87300 and 87306. Pursuant to Government Code Section 87302, the code will designate employees who must disclose certain investments, income, interests in real property and business positions, and who must disqualify themselves from making or participating in the making of governmental decisions affecting those interests.

2013 Urban Water Management Plan Update

The California Water Code requires all urban water supplies within the State of California to prepare Urban Water Management Plans and update them every five years. These plans satisfy the requirements of the Urban Water Management Planning Act of 1983.

The Urban Water Management Plan was adopted by the BCVWD Board of Directors on August 8,2013 and submitted to the California Department of Water Resources for approval. On June 27th, 2014 the District received a letter from the State of California stating that the District’s UWMP had been approved.
