Weekend of family fun planned at annual Beaumont Fishing Derby

Children and adults will fish to win prizes this weekend, April 6-7, at the annual Beaumont-Cherry Valley Recreation and Park District Fishing Derby.

The Beaumont-Cherry Valley Water District will open its recharge ponds to the public for the event. Competitive fishing will take place Saturday, with open fishing available Sunday. Participants need to bring their own pole and power-bait. No fishing license is needed.

Attendees can also stop by the water district’s booth for more fun, including activities for young children and giveaways. The event provides a great photo opportunity.

WHEN: Saturday, April 6 – Check-in, 7 a.m. | Kids Derby (ages 3-14), 8-11 a.m. | Adult Derby, 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Sunday, April 7 – Open Fishing, 7 a.m. – 2 p.m.

03-28-2019 Regular Board of Directors Meeting Cancelled

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Regular Board of Directors Meeting of the Beaumont-Cherry Valley Water District scheduled for March 28, 2019 at 6:00 p.m., 560 Magnolia Ave., Beaumont, CA 92223, has been cancelled due to lack of quorum.

Someone stole our flags


At approximately 2:35 A.M. on Monday March, 18th, 2019 someone stole the two flags that were located on the District flag pole. The two individuals involved were caught on video surveillance, but we are asking the community to help us locate the stolen property. The individuals that stole the flags were driving black/dark color sedan. The person that lowered the flags and jumped in the passenger seat appears to be a female.

Someone in our community knows who has these, and we would appreciate any help that you can provide in locating them. We have filed a police report with the Beaumont Police Department as well as provided the following video of the theft:

New Request for Proposal – Well 25 East Wall Construction Project

NOTICE INVITING BIDS RECEIPT AND OPENING OF BIDS Sealed bids will be received only at the Beaumont Cherry Valley Water District (Owner), 560 Magnolia Avenue, Beaumont, California 92223, Telephone (951) 845-9581 until 3 p.m. local time on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 for Well 25 East Wall Construction Project.

Work: The work consists of the construction of a block wall on the east side of and enclosing Well Site 25 on Starlight Avenue north of Sunset Place. Scope of Work-Fee Schedule will further identify the work associated with the construction of Well 25’s block wall.

The work shall be performed under a single contract.  Prevailing wages will be in effect for this work and costs must be in compliance with State Labor Code as listed in the project agreement.  A PDF copy of the complete bid package is available on the District Website at www.BCVWD.org.  Alternatively, a copy of the complete bid package is available upon request from the District’s Assistant Director of Operations. A charge of $10.00 will be made for each hard copy of each bid package requested.

Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the place and time stated above.  Bidders are invited to be present.  Bidders may examine the Contract Documents at Beaumont Cherry Valley Water District, 560 Magnolia Avenue, Beaumont, California, 92223. 

Bidders shall be licensed in accordance with provisions of Chapter 9, Division 3, of the Business and Professional Code of the State of California on the date and at the time of submittal of the Bid. Required classifications are: Class A, or C-29 and C-10. Vendor shall have verifiable experience in similar work.

Bidders must comply with and agree to all instructions and requirements in this notice and in the Request for Proposal.  All Bids must be submitted on the Prescribed Bid Form.  The successful Bidder shall furnish insurance in accordance with the Request for Proposals before execution of the Contract Agreement.  A non-mandatory pre bid tour of the project site may be arranged with the District’s Assistant Director of Operations.  Do not proceed directly to the project site.
