Summer Bills

Why is my October bill so high? 💧

Even though fall is here and temperatures are starting to cool, your October bill reflects water use from August and September—the hottest months of the year. 🌞 That means high outdoor watering and summer lawn care often show up on your bill now.

✅ Remember: conserving water isn’t just for summer! Year-round, you can:

  • Adjust sprinkler schedules as the weather cools
  • Check for leaks inside and outside the home
  • Water plants early in the morning to reduce evaporation

If you ever have questions about your bill or water use, our team is here to help. Call us anytime—we’re happy to assist!

National Preparedness – Documents

Preparedness isn’t just about food and water—it’s also about protecting the things that matter most.

📁 Keep important documents (IDs, insurance, medical info, property records) in water-resistant containers or sealed plastic bags.
💻 Make digital copies of documents and store them securely online.
💧 Store treasured items in elevated, dry areas to reduce the risk of water damage during floods or pipe breaks.

Taking these steps now means less stress later, and more time to focus on your family’s safety.

BCVWD Project Updates

🚧💧 Building Reliability for Our Community 💧🚧

Our Engineering, Finance, and Operations teams have been hard at work this summer on projects that improve reliability, efficiency, and water service for our customers.

“With proactive pump testing and redundant efforts, the team is preventing interruptions and ensuring a continuous supply of safe water for our customers” commented BCVWD Board Member Andy Ramirez.  “The Board is proud of the District’s investment in infrastructure and sustainable water deliveries to our entire community.”

Here’s a quick update:

1️⃣ Well 1A Replacement – Crews are test-pumping to determine the well’s full capacity and equipment needs. Although recent water quality samples mean this well will serve our non-potable system, it will play an important role in reducing strain on potable supplies and adding system redundancy.

2️⃣ B-Line Transmission Pipeline – Construction is complete, and the Notice of Completion is heading to the Board this month. This project was funded in part by ARPA dollars, with $798,681 received to support the work. Remaining funds will be reallocated to other pipeline improvements.

3️⃣ Pressure Regulation Station – Construction is underway in the 2400 pressure zone. Once complete, this underground PRV will enhance pressure management and support long-term system planning.

We’re committed to investing in the future of our water system, today and for generations to come.

CSDA Award 2025

Beaumont-Cherry Valley Water District Wins Statewide Excellence Award! 🎉

We are honored to share that BCVWD has received the 2025 CSDA Excellence in Technology Award at the California Special Districts Association Annual Conference in Monterey.

Vice President of the Board of Directors, Lona Williams, accepted the award on behalf of the District. She described the moment as both humbling and an honor, noting that “with just under 50 employees, standing among hundreds of other agencies made me incredibly proud of our staff’s dedication.”

The award recognizes BCVWD’s commitment to innovation and stewardship. Vice President Williams emphasized that every technology investment is made with the community in mind: “This award shows our community that every investment in technology is about stewardship. It protects customer information, safeguards our water supply, and reinforces that security and safety are priorities in every decision we make.”

She also reflected on the support of other districts present at the conference. “What struck me most was the warm support from so many other districts, water, fire, parks, and beyond. It reminded me that, despite our different challenges, we are united in our mission of serving our communities.”

Vice President Williams concluded that this recognition is not just about one department but a reflection of the District’s overall professionalism. “Our staff is learning, improving, and taking pride in their work every day, and this award is proof of that commitment.”

👏 Congratulations to our Information Technology and Cybersecurity Department, engineers, operations staff, and administrative professionals for making this award possible. And thank you to our community for trusting us with your most vital resource!
