Why BCVWD Replenishes Water for Our Community 💧

At Beaumont-Cherry Valley Water District, our top priority is making sure there’s enough water, not just for today, but for generations to come. That’s why we are required, through a legal adjudication, to replenish the groundwater we use.

Replenishment means that for every drop of water we pump from the local basin, we must replace it to ensure a long-term, sustainable supply for all. This helps protect the Beaumont Basin, prevents over drafting, and secures water reliability for our entire community.

This responsibility is more than just a requirement — it’s our commitment to future generations.

“The Board of Directors is dedicated to protecting our community’s water future,’ stated BCVWD Board Vice President Lona Williams. “ By carefully managing and replenishing the Beaumont Basin, we are ensuring that families, businesses, and future generations have the reliable water they need.”

Replenishment is one of the most important steps we take to keep Beaumont and Cherry Valley thriving today and tomorrow.
