Project Spotlight: Palmer PRV Station (NR-2600-001) π§
Beaumont-Cherry Valley Water District is nearing completion of the Palmer Pressure Regulating Valve (PRV) Station, part of our Non-Potable Master Plan.
Consistent water pressure is essential, when pressure is too high or too low, it creates challenges for both irrigation and daily operations. The new PRV Station will ensure safe, steady pressures in the area, improving reliability for customers and preserving potable water for where itβs needed most.
The new PRV Station provides a lasting solution by:
- Regulating non-potable water to safe pressures
- Preserving potable water for domestic use
- Reducing treatment costs and saving ratepayers money
- Restoring reliable irrigation for Niklaus Park, benefiting the entire community
The underground vault housing the PRV Station was installed on September 25, 2025, with final installation scheduled for October 2, 2025. Much of the project was completed by BCVWD staff, with the exception of the vault drop, which required a crane to handle its 21,000-pound lid.
βThe Board of Directors is proud to support projects like the Palmer Pressure Reducing Station that improve reliability, protect potable water supplies, and directly benefits our community by further reducing costly treatment,β said BCVWD Board Member Andy Ramirez. βBy investing in smart infrastructure, weβre helping ensure that both residents and public spaces have the water they need today and in the future.β
Weβre proud of the teamwork and foresight that made this project possible, another step forward in building a stronger water system for our community.
