Important Water Quality Update: Chromium-6 (Hexavalent Chromium)

Last month, Beaumont-Cherry Valley Water District (BCVWD) mailed a required notification to customers regarding chromium-6 (also known as hexavalent chromium) in local groundwater.

This notice is part of state requirements to keep our community informed. While there is currently no enforceable federal standard for chromium-6, California has established a notification level to help water agencies share information with customers.

BCVWD wants to reassure our community that your water continues to meet all current state and federal drinking water standards. We continuously monitor water quality and are actively evaluating long-term solutions to address chromium-6 in our water supply.

Transparency is important to us, and we are committed to keeping our customers informed every step of the way.
