Happy First Day of Winter

As the days grow colder, it’s the perfect time to reduce outdoor watering and save water! Most plants go dormant during the winter and need little to no irrigation.

“Making small adjustments during the winter months, like reducing outdoor watering, not only saves water but also helps ensure we have enough for the drier months ahead,” said BCVWD Board President John Covington.

Simple changes can make a big difference, adjust your sprinkler timer or turn it off entirely during rainy periods. Conserving water now helps protect this precious resource for the seasons ahead.
