Project Spotlight: “B” Line Upper Edgar Transmission Pipeline 🚧
Beaumont-Cherry Valley Water District is proud to announce the launch of a critical capital improvement project—Project P-3620-0001, also known as the “B” Line Upper Edgar Transmission Pipeline.
This project will replace approximately 3,000 feet of aging 10-inch riveted steel pipe with a 12-inch ductile iron pipeline along Edgar Canyon Road, ensuring a more reliable water supply to the 3620 Pressure Zone, which serves portions of Oak Glen and Cherry Valley.
The existing pipeline has suffered frequent leaks and is vital to our distribution system. Board Director Andy Ramirez notes, “this water pipeline replacement is key to minimizing water loss, increasing operational reliability, enhancing fire protection, and preparing our system for future demands.”
Thanks to the support and recognition of this project’s importance to our community, the County awarded the District $1.3 million in ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) funding to help make this $1.5 million upgrade a reality.
📍 Location: Edgar Canyon Road (District-owned land), Oak Glen & Cherry Valley
📅 Materials Expected: Late March 2025
✅ Design & CEQA/NEPA: 100% Complete!
