Beaumont-Cherry Valley Water District is moving forward with plans to construct a new 2-million-gallon steel water storage tank in the 3040 Pressure Zone, located next to the existing Noble Tank. As outlined in the District’s Capital Improvement Budget, this project is designed to increase local storage capacity, improve emergency readiness, and support growing demands in areas like the expanding Sundance community.

Today, the 3040 Zone’s storage is not sufficient to meet future peak demands or emergency conditions. Adding this new tank will:

• Improve system reliability and resiliency
• Strengthen emergency water storage
• Support community growth through 2040
• Enhance service stability for homes, schools, and businesses
• Ensure continued dependable water delivery in this important pressure zone

Although the project is being rebid, the District remains committed to moving it forward as a key investment in long-term water reliability for our community.

BCVWD Board member John Covington shared support for the project, noting that “expanding local water storage isn’t just about meeting today’s needs, it’s about preparing responsibly for tomorrow. This new tank will help ensure our residents have reliable, high-quality water during peak demand, emergencies, and continued community growth.”

Beaumont-Cherry Valley Water District is excited to share that the new 2,000-gallon water truck, approved as part of the 2025–2029 Capital Improvement Budget, has officially arrived. This long-planned purchase strengthens our ability to maintain system reliability, improve response capabilities, and support key construction and maintenance projects across our potable and non-potable systems.

The water truck will play an important role in dust control, mainline and hydrant flushing, construction support, emergency preparedness, and fire protection assistance, especially in remote areas where access to hydrants is limited. Having this equipment in-house also reduces the District’s reliance on rental units, improving efficiency and lowering long-term operational costs.

BCVWD Board Member John Covington noted that “purchases like this water truck directly strengthen the reliability of our water system and the safety of our community. Our crews work in demanding conditions, and having dependable, modern equipment allows them to do their jobs safely and effectively. This investment reflects the District’s long-term commitment to planning responsibly and making sure our team has the support they need to protect public health and maintain essential services.”
