BCVWD Receives 2021 President’s Special Recognition Award

For the period of July 1, 2017, through June 30, 2020, Beaumont-Cherry Valley Water District was recognized by ACWA JPIA with the President’s Special Recognition Award.

This award acknowledged the District’s low ratio of paid claims and case reserves to deposit premiums in the Workers’ Compensation Program. The achievement reflects the District’s dedication to workplace safety and employee well-being.

The recognition was formally announced at the ACWA JPIA Board of Directors’ Meeting in Pasadena in December 2021. This recognition demonstrates BCVWD’s ongoing efforts to protect its workforce while fostering a supportive and secure environment for employees.

Public Service Recognition Week

Last week was Public Service Recognition Week! From fixing our streets and protecting our communities to providing safe, reliable water and delivering the mail, thank you to all public service employees – many of whom are on the frontlines of the coronavirus pandemic.

“Public employees are essential to thriving communities, and their commitment to service is evident now more than ever,” said President John Covington. “The BCVWD Board of Directors thanks all those who work to serve our community, including our own District employees.”

Water shutoff suspension

BCVWD is temporarily suspending water shutoffs due to nonpayment and late payment fees during the coronavirus public health emergency. Learn more at bcvwd.org.

“Frequent hand washing is key to preventing the spread of coronavirus,” said Board President John Covington. “We want to ensure that everyone has access to this vital resource during this public health crisis.”

BCVWD Receives 2020 President’s Special Recognition Award

Beaumont-Cherry Valley Water District received the President’s Special Recognition Award from ACWA JPIA for the period of October 1, 2016, through September 30, 2019.

This honor was awarded for achieving a low ratio of paid claims and case reserves compared to deposit premiums in the Liability Program. The recognition highlights the District’s strong commitment to effective risk management and operational safety.

It was announced during a virtual Board of Directors’ meeting in December 2020. This achievement reflects BCVWD’s dedication to creating a safe workplace culture that prioritizes the health and well-being of its employees.
