Groundwater Awareness Week
BCVWD is proud to observe Groundwater Awareness Week, an annual dedication to the responsible development, management, and use of groundwater. With Californiaâs shifts in extreme weather, itâs more important than ever to shore up our groundwater resources and build a dependable water supply.
âBCVWD is paving the way for groundwater management in the region. The Districtâs MDP Line 16 Conservation and Flood Protection Project replenishes the Beaumont groundwater basin through a state-of-the-art stormwater drain,â Director Hoffman said. âOur Noble Creek Recharge Facility ensures water stability through recharge that will meet the communityâs needs for many years to come. Through these projects and more, we demonstrate our continued commitment to groundwater sustainability.â
