Capital Improvement Project Update: Wells 1A & 2A
The Beaumont-Cherry Valley Water District continues making progress on key infrastructure projects that support the long-term reliability and quality of our water system. Here are the latest updates on Well 1A and Well 2A, both located near 12th Street:
Well 1A (12th St & Palm Ave)
Drilling for Well 1A has been completed. The next phase of the project includes installing discharge piping, electrical components, a well building, and treatment equipment. These steps are necessary before the well can be placed into service.
Well 2A (12th St & Michigan Ave)
Drilling of the bore hole has been completed, and the well design has been finalized and submitted to the contractor. Materials including well casing and gravel pack have been ordered and are Made in the USA, with delivery coming from Arizona.
As the District awaits materials for move forward the final phases of the Well 1A project, BCVWD is coordinating with the City of Beaumont on traffic control during the flushing period following drilling of Well 2A. If temporary drainage mitigation is needed along Palm Avenue, the District will work closely with the City to address it.
“Investments in infrastructure like Wells 1A and 2A are about planning responsibly for the future of our community,” said BCVWD Board member Daniel Slawson. “These projects take time and coordination, but they are essential to strengthening system reliability and continuing to provide high-quality water to our community. The Board remains committed to making thoughtful, long-term investments that ensure safe, dependable water service for our customers.”
These projects reflect BCVWD’s commitment to transparency, safety, and long-term planning for the community we serve. #BCVWD #WaterWorks #InfrastructureUpdate #CommunityInvestment #SafeWater
