BCVWD Receives Sixth Consecutive Budget Excellence Award
Beaumont-Cherry Valley Water District is proud to announce that it has received the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers (CSMFO) Operating Budget Excellence Award for its Fiscal Year 2026 Operating Budget and 2026–2030 Capital Improvement Budget. This marks the sixth consecutive year the District has earned this statewide recognition.
The award recognizes public agencies that demonstrate excellence in financial planning, transparency, and communication. BCVWD’s budget serves as a roadmap for how ratepayer funds are invested to support daily operations, infrastructure improvements, and long-term water reliability.
In response to this highly recognized fiscal award, Board Vice President Andy Ramirez said, “Behind every infrastructure project, every operational improvement, and every investment in water reliability is a carefully developed financial plan. The Water District is committed to responsible stewardship of ratepayer funds, ensuring that today’s decisions support the long-term needs of our community while maintaining transparency and accountability.”
A well-planned budget helps ensure the District can maintain and improve critical infrastructure, respond to future needs, and continue providing safe and reliable water service to our community. The recognition reflects the District’s ongoing commitment to responsible financial management and long-term planning.
We are honored to receive this recognition and remain committed to providing exceptional service, responsible financial management, and reliable water service for the residents and businesses we serve.
