BCVWD Project Updates

🚧💧 Building Reliability for Our Community 💧🚧

Our Engineering, Finance, and Operations teams have been hard at work this summer on projects that improve reliability, efficiency, and water service for our customers.

“With proactive pump testing and redundant efforts, the team is preventing interruptions and ensuring a continuous supply of safe water for our customers” commented BCVWD Board Member Andy Ramirez.  “The Board is proud of the District’s investment in infrastructure and sustainable water deliveries to our entire community.”

Here’s a quick update:

1️⃣ Well 1A Replacement – Crews are test-pumping to determine the well’s full capacity and equipment needs. Although recent water quality samples mean this well will serve our non-potable system, it will play an important role in reducing strain on potable supplies and adding system redundancy.

2️⃣ B-Line Transmission Pipeline – Construction is complete, and the Notice of Completion is heading to the Board this month. This project was funded in part by ARPA dollars, with $798,681 received to support the work. Remaining funds will be reallocated to other pipeline improvements.

3️⃣ Pressure Regulation Station – Construction is underway in the 2400 pressure zone. Once complete, this underground PRV will enhance pressure management and support long-term system planning.

We’re committed to investing in the future of our water system, today and for generations to come.
