Infrastructure Upgrades
At BCVWD, we know that every drop counts — and that reliable, clean water is something our customers depend on every single day.
To continue delivering on that promise, the Board of Directors recently approved new water rates that will fund critical infrastructure upgrades. We understand that any rate increase can be difficult, and we want to be transparent about why these changes are necessary.
Much of our water system — including pipelines, valves, and facilities — has been in service for decades. Some projects have been on hold for years due to funding limitations. With these new rates, we can finally move forward with overdue improvements that will:
✔️ Reduce service interruptions
✔️ Improve operational efficiency
✔️ Support wildfire response
✔️ Protect public health
✔️ Ensure long-term water reliability for future generations
“Our network of wells, pipes, and treatment facilities works around the clock to deliver safe water to your home,” said Board Member John Covington. “Strong infrastructure is the foundation of a reliable water supply — and this investment ensures we’re prepared not just for today, but for the future.”
We appreciate our community’s support and understanding as we take this important step toward building a more resilient water system. 🔗 Learn more at bcvwd.gov
