CSDA Award 2025
Beaumont-Cherry Valley Water District Wins Statewide Excellence Award! 🎉
We are honored to share that BCVWD has received the 2025 CSDA Excellence in Technology Award at the California Special Districts Association Annual Conference in Monterey.
Vice President of the Board of Directors, Lona Williams, accepted the award on behalf of the District. She described the moment as both humbling and an honor, noting that “with just under 50 employees, standing among hundreds of other agencies made me incredibly proud of our staff’s dedication.”
The award recognizes BCVWD’s commitment to innovation and stewardship. Vice President Williams emphasized that every technology investment is made with the community in mind: “This award shows our community that every investment in technology is about stewardship. It protects customer information, safeguards our water supply, and reinforces that security and safety are priorities in every decision we make.”
She also reflected on the support of other districts present at the conference. “What struck me most was the warm support from so many other districts, water, fire, parks, and beyond. It reminded me that, despite our different challenges, we are united in our mission of serving our communities.”
Vice President Williams concluded that this recognition is not just about one department but a reflection of the District’s overall professionalism. “Our staff is learning, improving, and taking pride in their work every day, and this award is proof of that commitment.”
👏 Congratulations to our Information Technology and Cybersecurity Department, engineers, operations staff, and administrative professionals for making this award possible. And thank you to our community for trusting us with your most vital resource!
