BCVWD is setting new division boundaries
At Beaumont-Cherry Valley Water District (BCVWD), we are dedicated to serving our customers with equal representation in mind. The District is considering new division maps to reflect the latest U.S. Census results. Customers can participate in the process by using the online mapping tool below, providing feedback and comments, and/or attending any or all of three scheduled public hearings.
Redistricting does not affect your water service. Customers will continue to receive safe, reliable water from BCVWD.
To submit public comment on the draft maps, please email redistrictinginfo@bcvwd.org by March 24, 2022.

What is redistricting?
Over time, populations within a community shift as people move and areas grow. Redistricting will update BCVWD’s voting boundaries to ensure roughly equal populations. Citizens within each division vote for a member who represents the public on the Board of Directors. The new maps will be used during future Board member elections, until the next Census.
BCVWD hired an independent expert to complete this comprehensive process, which includes:
- Identifying communities of interest (using Census data to bring communities together to form divisions)
- Creating draft maps using a mapping tool
- Receiving public comments and input on the draft maps throughout the process
- Comprehensive review by BCVWD staff and the Board of Directors
- Adoption of new division boundaries by the Board of Directors
