Design and Engineering Services For the 2022/2023 Water Storage Tank Recoating, Painting and Rehabilitation Projects

NOTICE INVITING PROPOSALS AND OPENING OF PROPOSALS Prospective consultants are hereby notified that the Beaumont Cherry Valley Water District (District) will receive sealed proposals for Professional Services necessary to provide Design and Engineering Services For the 2022/2023 Water Storage Tank Recoating, Painting and Rehabilitation Projects, at 560 Magnolia Avenue, Beaumont, California 92223, Telephone (951) 845-9581 until 3 p.m. local time on Thursday May 26, 2022.

Work: The work consists of design engineering services for the exterior painting of three (3) one million gallon, potable water storage tanks and design engineering services for the rehabilitation, interior coating and exterior painting of one (1) additional one million gallon, potable water storage tank.  The sites are located within the District’s Service Area and are specifically located in the Community of Cherry Valley.

Cherry Tank I, Cherry Tank II and Vineland Tank I are located in the Community of Cherry Valley. Lower Edgar Tank is located in Edgar Canyon, within the Community of Cherry Valley.  Said Tank sites are further detailed in Figures 1-4 of the complete proposal package. 

The work shall be performed by a single contractor under a single contract.  Prevailing wages will be in effect for this work and costs must be in compliance with State Labor Code as listed in the project agreement.  A PDF copy of the complete proposals package is available on the District Website at www.BCVWD.org.  Alternatively, a copy of the complete proposals package is available upon request from the District’s Engineering Department. A charge of $10.00 will be made for each hard copy of each proposals package requested.

Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud at the place and time stated above.  Consultants are invited to be present.  Consultants may examine the Contract Documents at Beaumont Cherry Valley Water District, 560 Magnolia Avenue, Beaumont, California, 92223 by appointment only.

Consultants shall be licensed in accordance with provisions of Chapter 9, Division 3, of the Business and Professional Code of the State of California on the date and at the time of submittal of the Proposal. Required classifications are: Registered Civil Engineer. Consultants shall have verifiable experience in similar work. Consultants and their sub-contractors shall also be registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 4104 of the public contract code with the State of California, Department of Industrial Relations.

Consultants must comply with and agree to all instructions and requirements in this notice and in the Request for Proposal.  All Proposals must be submitted on the Prescribed Proposal Form.  The successful Consultant shall furnish insurance in accordance with the Request for Proposals.  A pre Proposal tour of the project site may be arranged with the District’s Director of Operations, James Bean.  Do not proceed directly to the project sites.

Owner reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive any irregularity, or to award a Contract to other than the lowest proposal.  If Owner elects to award a contract for the Work, the award will be made within 30 days from the date of the Proposal opening.  Proposals shall be valid for said 30 day period.
